Once you have already applied and was hired in an Affiliate Program you have chosen, it is now the time for you to choose you domain name. Make sure that your domain name reflects you and can easily be remembered because ’Your domain name is your business name on the web. It represents both you and yourbusiness, therefore think it through carefully’.
Here is a video taken from youtube.com that show you how to choose a domain name and how to register it:
Other than what the video shows, I would also like to share to you the 6 things you must consider in choosing a domain name. This is actually taken from the book “The Super Affiliate Handbook” by Rosalind Gardner which we are using in our class. I would like to share this to you because I find it very relevant, specially for the beginners, to make their domain name.
As what I have understand in our discussion, it will be better if you make it a dot com because most of the internet users uses this when they search for a web address which I also find true in many cases.
2. Make it Relevant
Your domain is definitely yours, ofcourse, so it is necessary for you to put some keyword that will signify you or identify you as the owner.
3. Make it Memorable
When you choose an easy to remember keyword then it is better. Make it important for you and it will become memorable.
4. Try to Avoid hyphens
5. Avoid a name that you need to spell out
There are words that when you verbalize it, it can be sounds like other words which will then cause a misspelled name. So, to avoid this, makle your that your domain name is not hard to pronounce and spelled.
6. Take care not to infringe on a trademark
Well, trademark is very important. So when you make your domain name, make sure that you are not tapping other’s domain name.
I guess that’s all I can say about what I have understood in my readings and learning about this topic. Stay updated in my next blogs. God Bless Us All!!!

choosing the appropriate domain name is really important because it affects how you will be remembered by your users…if you will make your own domain name, what would it be?? applying the 6 things to consider in choosing the domain name you took from the Super Affiliate Handbook
well, thanks for asking me that question gen. Actually i haven’t think about it yet but since your asking me now about it I guess its time for me to consider it. Uhm…maybe I’ll have “tazaddict” as my initial domain name. That’s if Im going to pursue my plan because Im actually a very big fan of Tazmania. The name is so simple without any special character so that the users will not be confused once they search for my domain..hehe..
